摘要：本课程主要介绍健康在经济增长和经济发展中的重要作用。其目的在于使学生理解健康作为一种与教育同等重要的人力资本形式在经济增长与经济发展中的关键作用，以及如何从健康的视角出发来理解中国的“一带一路”战略。课程内容主要包括六个主要方面：

1） 中国的“一带一路”战略；

2） 健康在经济增长和经济发展中的重要作用；

3） 健康的测度、分布与疾病负担；

4） 健康与生产力；

5） 健康中国战略；

6） 中国的“一带一路”战略与健康。

Abstract: This intensive course aims to highlight the important role of health in economic growth and development. It would facilitate students to understand that, as one key component of human capital like education, health plays a vital role in economic growth and development. It will also further the understanding of China's Belt and Road Initiative through the lens of health. The six major aspects of this course are as follows:

中国春节与剪纸体验
Spring Festival and Chinese Paper-cut Experience

主讲：李雪飞

摘要：“中国传统文化赏析及中华剪纸快乐体验”课程将被划分为两个部分。第一部分是给留学生介绍中国传统文化，让外国朋友对博大精深的中国文化有所了解。第二部分为中华剪纸的教学及体验。这一环节中，学员将会欣赏到不同类别的中华剪纸作品，了解每幅剪纸背后独具中国味道的文化。之后会了解中华剪纸的制作过程，并亲手制作两幅属于自己的、独一无二的剪纸作品，让中外友人在学习、制作的过程中，尽情享受中华剪纸艺术带来的喜悦！

Abstract：The lecture of the Appreciation of Chinese Traditional Culture and the Joyful Experience of Chinese Paper-cutting will be divided into two parts. During the first part, different sorts of Chinese cultures will be introduced to all foreign students, so they could comprehend the extensive and profound traditional Chinese culture. In the second part, they will get some knowledge about how to make Chinese paper-cuts. At last We will make two unique paper-cuts for their own, that might be the best present for themselves. They might enjoy an unforgettable experience about Chinese traditional culture.

金融投资决策：从风险度量到投资组合选择问题
Financial Decision Making: From Risk Measure to Portfolio Selection Problems

摘要：在本讲中，我们讨论如何使用定量技术来指导金融投资决策。我们主要关注两个重要议题：风险度量和投资组合选择。我们首先介绍一些基本的风险度量，包括方差，风险价值，条件风险价值和一致性风险度量等；我们进而讨论如何使用优化方法来建模投资组合选择问题；最后，我们针对中、长期投资决策简要介绍多期风险度量和多阶段投资组合选择问题。

Abstract: In this talk, we will discuss how to make financial decisions through quantitative methods. We mainly focus on two important topics: risk measure and portfolio selection problem. Firstly, we introduce some basic risk measures including variance, value-at-risk, conditional value-at-risk and coherent risk measures. Then we talk about how to model portfolio selection problems by using optimization methods. Lastly, multi-period risk measure and multi-stage portfolio selection problems will be introduced for long-term or medium term financial decision making problems.

摘要：本课程首先介绍与一带一路相关的金融热点问题，然后通过学习一些基本的统计思想和方法来分析金融问题，并从中提取出有意义的信息。通过R软件我们进行实际数据的分析来演示数据整合、数据可视化及建模等金融数据挖掘的一般过程。

Abstract： In this short course we first introduce some financial hot topics related to OBOR. For us the most important task is extract meaningful information from these events. So we look though some basic statistical minds and methods for analyzing financial problems. Real data analysis based on R will show the process of digging financial data including data organizing, visualizing and modeling.

丝路经济带的历史与经济背景
Historical and Economic Background of Silk Road Economic Belt

摘要：课程首先简要介绍丝绸之路经济带五年来在中国国内和国外的认知现状；接着从“丝绸之路经济带”的历史发展开始，介绍其渊源、历史地位等方面；而课程的重点部分则是通过国际、国内两个经济环境的分析引导学员理解丝路经济带建设倡议提出的经济及社会背景；之后，介绍目前丝路经济带建设的现状进展；最后简要分析丝路经济带建设所面临的问题以及可能的应对策略。

Abstract: The lecture first briefly introduces the local and international cognition of the Silk Road Economic Belt. Then, it starts from the recall of the history of the Silk Road and the Marine Time Silk Road and introduces the origin, significance, and cultural understanding of Silk Road. Then, it analyses the local and international economic and social backgrounds of the Silk Road Economic Belt. After that, it introduces the development process, progress, and status quo of the Silk Road Economic Belt. At last, it tries to analyze the problems the initiative is facing and probable countermeasures.

摘要：本报告中，我讲回顾人工智能技术发展的历史，并介绍机器学习的一些基本概念和思想。这些机器学习的相关技术已经构成了人工智能领域最为热点的研究主题并诱导出非常成功的诸多应用。另外，也将简要讨论关于人工智能技术未来的一些发展趋势与挑战。

Abstract: In this talk, I will review the technology development history of artificial intelligence, and introduce some basic concepts and ideas of machine learning, which constitutes the hottest research topics and leads to most successful applications of current AI techniques. Also, some research trends and challenges of current AI technologies will be discussed.

An Introduction to Causal Inference using Propensity Score Matching and Difference-in-Differences Approaches

摘要：因果推断在社会科学中越来越受到重视，它主要用于评估一项政策、项目或任何形式的干预手段的影响效果。这一讲内容将介绍因果推断与反事实分析的思想，以用于开展严谨的效应评价。我们将重点学习倾向得分匹配与双重差分方法。虽然本讲的主题偏重技术性，但我们将尽可能少地使用数学，而更多采用直觉性的学习方式。学生可以携带笔记本，并提前安装Stata软件，因为在课堂最后我们将通过例子演示相关方法在Stata软件中的实现过程。

Description: Causal inference has been increasingly emphasized in social sciences when evaluating the impacts of a policy, program, project, or any other form of intervention. In this lecture, we will introduce the idea of causal inference and counterfactual analysis for conducting a rigorous impact evaluation. Specifically, we will learn the propensity score matching and difference-in-differences approaches. Although the topic of this lecture is rather technical, we will try to minimize mathematical notations and learn these approaches in an intuitive way. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops and install Stata in advance, as we will demonstrate the implementation of the methods in Stata with some examples.

摘要：金融工程是一门融现代金融学、工程方法与信息技术于一体的新兴交叉性学科。无套利定价与风险中性定价是金融工程具有标志性的分析方法。尽管历史不长，但是金融工程的发展在把金融科学的研究推进到一个新阶段的同时，对金融产业乃至整个经济领域都产生了极其深远的影响。

本课程通过金融工程的经典案例入手，阐述金融工程的有用性，促进学员对金融工程的理解。案例A是关于法国最大的化学公司Rhone-Poulenc公司的员工持股计划，美国信孚银行提供了一个金融工程解决方案，实现了员工、政府和公司、银行的三赢。案例B则介绍了1987年美国大通银行发行的世界上首个保本指数存单。1987年美国股市飙升，大量资金流出银行，该指数存单正是在此背景下的应对策略。由于并未真实投资股市但收益却与股票市场挂钩，该产品的发行也被视为美国金融业20世纪90年代由分业经营转向混业经营的开端事件之一。

在阐述了金融工程的有用性之后，本课程将逐步讲解金融工程的主要研究内容，涉及远期与期货、期权与期权市场、期权的定价与套期保值等核心问题，力图通过上述介绍传授衍生品的基本原理并帮助学员建立通过衍生品实现风险规避的投资理念。

Abstract: Financial engineering is a new interdisciplinary subject integrating modern finance, engineering method and information technology. No arbitrage pricing and risk neutral pricing are the symbolic analysis methods of financial engineering. Although the history is not long, the development of financial engineering promotes the research of financial science to a new stage, and has a profound impact on the financial industry as well as the whole economic field.

This course, through the classical cases of financial engineering, expounds the usefulness of financial engineering and promotes students' understanding of financial engineering. The case A is about the ESOP of France's largest chemical company Rhone-Poulenc. Bankers Trust provides a financial engineering solutions, implementation staff, government and company, bank wins. Case B introduces the world's first index deposit certificate issued by the United States bank of America in 1987. In 1987, the US stock market soared and a large amount of money outflowed to the bank, which was the backdrop of the strategy. Due to the fact that the stock market is not actually invested, earnings are linked to the stock market. The issuance of the product is also regarded as one of the start events of the US financial industry in 1990s from separate operation to mixed operation.

After describing the usefulness of financial engineering, this course will gradually explain the main contents of financial engineering, pricing and hedging and other core issues involved in futures and options, options and options market, which helps students understand the basic principle of derivatives and establish the investment philosophy of risk aversion through the implementation of derivatives.
