2018年11月12日至11月16日, 由联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心(IKCEST)和西安交通大学联合主办，IKCEST丝路培训基地承办的第46期丝路工程科技发展专项培训在西安交通大学雁塔校区举行，共有来自西安交通大学、西安电子科技大学的89名留学生参加培训，他们分别来自巴基斯坦、尼日利亚、加纳等二十余个“一带一路”沿线国家。

The 46th IKCEST Training Programme for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development was held in Yanta Campus of Xi’an Jiaotong University from Nov. 12^th to Nov. 16^th. It was co-hosted by the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (IKCEST) under the Auspices of UNESCO and Xi’an Jiaotong University, and organized by IKCEST Silk Road Training Base. A total of 89 foreign students from Xi’an Jiaotong University and Xidian University registered for the workshop. They are from over 20 countries along the Silk Road including Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana, etc.

本次培训课程为期5天，由西安交大资深教授团队亲临授课，内容涵盖一带一路与中国文化、PVDF基氟聚合物的合成与铁电性能调控、外国著作权在中国的保护、自修复高分子材料、有机电致发光技术与应用、无人驾驶汽车、太极文化与修养学等。教师们课堂上条理清晰、生动有序，时常举例论证，使道理深入浅出，渗透人心，留学们受益匪浅，并与教师互动连连。

This workshop lasted for about 5 days, and the following lectures such as Tai Chi Culture and Cultivation, The Chinese Culture and One Belt One Road, Synthesis and Tuning Ferroelectric Proprieties of PVDF-Based Fluoropolymers, How Foreigners are Protected in China’s Copyright Industry, Self-healing Polymeric Materials, Organic Electroluminescence and Application and online course Autonomous Driving Car were given by the experienced professors in Xi’an Jiaotong University. The teachers gave clear and vivid examples to make the topic deep-going but easy to understand. The students benefited a lot from it and discussed with the teacher after the lectures.

此外，为提升留学生艺术修养，促进文明互鉴，扩大丝路基地影响力，增强留学生跨文化交际能力，IKCEST丝路培训基地与校团委合作，举办“2018漫步经典丝路音乐会”。音乐会以“走进艺术，感受经典，陶冶情操，民心相通”为主题，50余名留学生代表有幸见证此次视听盛宴。音乐会由钢琴、大提琴、小提琴为主旋律，融合古典音乐元素，时而宽广流畅，时而温柔感伤。演奏者将e小调钢琴三重奏，小夜曲等表演的淋漓尽致，观众无不震撼于乐器之间的完美配合。

In addition, in order to enhance the artistic accomplishment of the foreign students, promote the mutual learning among civilizations, expand the influence of the Silk Road Training Base, and enhance the intercultural communicative competence, IKCEST Silk Road Training Base organized the “2018 Classic Silk Road Concert” with Youth League Committee of Xi’an Jiaotong University. With the theme “Get into Art, Enjoy Classic Music, Cultivate the Taste, People-to-people Connectivity”, over 50 foreign students had the honor to witness the audio-visual feast. The concert was composed of piano, Cello and violin as the main melody and combined classical music elements so that the whole concert sometimes broad and smooth, sometimes tender and sentimental. The performers played the Piano Trio in E minor and Serenade incisively and vividly, which made the audience feel expressive about the perfect coordination between the instruments.

其次，为拓展留学生社会实践能力，在丝路工作人员带领下，留学生们参观了中兴通讯。热情的讲解员为留学生们介绍中兴公司的发展历程，公司背景、企业未来规划及公司文化内涵，还带领留学生参观天线工作室、协议测试实验室等，针对留学生感兴趣的5G发展之路展开讲解。下午，留学生们参观了陕西省计量院，陕西省计量科学研究院是陕西省人民政府计量行政部门依法设置的法定计量检定机构，此次参观留学生了解了各类检验设备，在研究院老师的细致讲解下，对检验知识有了进一步的了解。

Besides, under the leadership of Silk Road staff, foreign students visited ZTE Xi’an Research Center in order to expand the social practice ability of foreign students. The enthusiastic lecturer introduced the background, development, culture and future plan for the company. He also guided the foreign students to visit antenna studio, protocol testing laboratory and explained the 5G development path which the students were interested in. In the afternoon, the foreign students visited Shaanxi Institute of Metrology Science. Shaanxi Institute of Metrology Sciences is a statutory metrology verification institution set up by the Metrology Administrative Department of Shaanxi People's Government according to law. The foreign students learned about all kinds of inspection equipment. With the detailed explanation of teachers, they had a further understanding of the inspection knowledge.

此外，留学生们还参观了国际港务区规划馆、陕西自由贸易试验区及创业咖啡厅等，在港务区工作人员带领下了解港务区的建立、发展及业务模式。并鼓励留学生发挥创造性，自主创业，为推动中国及其所在国家的贸易发展添砖加瓦。

In addition, the oversea students visited Xi’an International Trade & Logistics Park, Shaanxi Free Trade Pilot Area and Entrepreneurship Cafe, etc. Under the leadership of the Port Area staff, they learned about the establishment, development and business model of the Xi’an International Trade & Logistic Park. They also encouraged foreign students to be creative and started their own businesses, thus contributing to the trade development of China and their own countries.

目前，IKCEST丝路培训基地已举办46期“丝路工程科技发展专项培训”。此次培训，作为丝路培训基地一项重要工作，将在培养丝路人才，服务国家“一带一路”倡议方面发挥重要的作用。同时，也为西安交大倡导发起的丝路大学联盟、国际丝路学院等一系列工作探索发展道路。

Till now, there have been 46 IKCEST Training Programmes for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development. As an important mission of the IKCEST Silk Road Training Base, this training programme plays an important role cultivating talents of Belt-road countries and promoting the Belt and Road Initiative. In the mean time, it is also exploring the development direction for projects initiated by XJTU, such as University Alliance of the New Silk Road and Silk Road Academy.

联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（简称“国际知识中心”“IKCEST”）是联合国教科文组织下属二类中心，2014年6月在北京成立，依托中国工程院建设，旨在面向世界各国尤其是发展中国家的政策制定者、广大工程科技工作者提供咨询、科研、教育等知识服务。2017年2月，国际知识中心依托西安交通大学，设立“IKCEST丝路培训基地”，为“一带一路”沿线国家培养工程科技人才。

The International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (shortened as “IKCEST”) is a category II centre under the auspices of UNESCO. IKCEST was established on June 2, 2014. The Chinese Academy of Engineering is responsible for the operation and management of the IKCEST. IKCEST aims at providing knowledge-based services at a global scale in the form of consultancies, scientific research and education for policy-makers and engineering science and technology professionals in the world, with particular reference to the developing countries. In February 2017, based in Xi'an Jiaotong University, IKCEST Silk Road Training Base was established, which aims to train more engineering and technological talents for Belt-Road countries.
