6月29日下午，吉尔吉斯斯坦贾拉拉巴德国立大学副校长ZHANYBAI ARYNBAEV带队教育代表团访问西安交通大学，并参加IKCEST丝路工程科技发展培训。西安交通大学副校长席光在科学馆107会见了来访培训人员。IKCEST丝路培训基地、继续教育学院、国际教育学院、国际处、网络信息中心等相关部门负责人陪同会见。

The delegation led by ZHANYBAI ARYNBAEV, vice president of Jalal-Abad University of Kyrgyzstan, visited Xi’an Jiaotong University and participated in the IKCEST Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development on the afternoon of June 29th. Professor Xi Guang, vice president of Xi’an Jiaotong University, met with the guests at 107 Room, Science Building. Representatives from the IKCEST Silk Road Training Base, School of Continuing Education, International Education Institute, Department of International Cooperation and the Network and Information Center attended the meeting.

席光副校长简要介绍了西安交通大学的历史及发展现状。他提到，当前西安交通大学正处于快速发展阶段，学校创建科技创新港，进一步深化综合改革，提高竞争力。未来，期望两校在学生交流方面有更多合作。ZHANYBAI ARYNBAEV副校长感谢席光副校长的接待。他提到中吉关系良好，希望与西安交大在医学、人文等领域开展更多合作与交流。他还咨询了关于与“IKCEST丝路培训基地”的合作方式，期待深入交流，推进两校发展。

Vice president Xi Guang made a brief introduction to the history and development of Xi’an Jiaotong University, and mentioned the current rapid development of Xi’an Jiaotong University. The Western China Science & Technology Innovation Harbour Wisdom Uni-Town is currently under construction, which will provide XJTU with opportunities to further deepen comprehensive reforms and improve competitiveness. In the future, it is expected that Jalal-Abad University and Xi’an Jiaotong University will have more cooperation and communication. Vice President ZHANYBAI ARYNBAEV appreciated vice president Xi Guang for his warm reception. He mentioned that China and Kyrgyzstan had a good relationship and hoped to carry out more cooperation and communication with Xi’an Jiaotong University in the fields of medicine and culture. He also consulted about the cooperation mode with the “IKCEST Silk Road Training Base” and looked forward to promoting communication and development between the two universities.

本次贾拉拉巴德国立大学及孔子学院教育代表团一行于6月28日-7月3日在西安进行了为期6天的活动。该活动是由国家汉办/孔子学院总部主办、IKCEST丝路培训基地承办，西安交通大学继续教育学院、国际教育学院组织，旨在使团员全面了解中国悠久历史及当代中国快速发展现状，以加强中吉双方在教育等方面的深入交流与合作。来自吉尔吉斯斯坦贾拉拉巴德国立大学副校长及学监、当地中学副校长等人参加了此次活动。

The Jalal-Abad University and the Confucius Institute Education Delegation held a six-day event in Xi’an from June 28th to July 3rd. The event was hosted by the Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters, organized by the IKCEST Silk Road Training Base, the School of Continuing Education of Xi’an Jiaotong University and the School of International Education, aiming to offer the members a better understanding about China’s long history and the rapid development of contemporary China so as to deepen the communication and cooperation in education and other fields between China and Kyrgyzstan. Vice President and Supervisor of Jalal-Abad University, Kyrgyzstan, and Vice Principals of the local secondary schools attended the event.

培训期间，代表团参加了中国概况、中国教育概况、当代中国经济发展概况等相关课程，进一步加强对中国教育、经济、文化等发展现状的了解，先后走访了陕西历史博物馆、大雁塔等历史圣地感知中国悠久的历史文明，同时，参观西安陆港集团、3D打印产业培育基地，加深了对IKCEST丝路培训基地的深入了解，ZHANYBAI ARYNBAEV副校长希望在双方的共同努力下，能拓展更多的合作项目。

During the training, the delegation participated in the courses about China’s General Situation, China’s Educational Overview, Contemporary China's Economic Development and other related courses, which further strengthened their knowledge about the development of China’s education, economy, culture, etc. The delegation also visited Shaanxi History Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda and other historical sites to better appreciate the long history of Chinese civilization. The delegation also visited Xi’an Landport Group, 3D printing industry base, which improved the delegation’s understanding of IKCEST Silk Road Training Base. Vice President ZHANYBAI ARYNBAEV hoped that more cooperative projects can be conducted with the joint efforts of both sides.

联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（简称“国际知识中心”“IKCEST”）是联合国教科文组织下属二类中心，2014年6月在北京成立，依托中国工程院建设，旨在面向世界各国尤其是发展中国家的政策制定者、广大工程科技工作者提供咨询、科研、教育等知识服务。2017年2月，国际知识中心依托西安交通大学，设立“IKCEST丝路培训基地”，为“一带一路”沿线国家培养工程科技人才。

The International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (shortened as “IKCEST”) is a category II centre under the auspices of UNESCO. IKCEST was established on June 2, 2014. The Chinese Academy of Engineering is responsible for the operation and management of the IKCEST. IKCEST aims at providing knowledge-based services at a global scale in the form of consultancies, scientific research and education for policy-makers and engineering science and technology professionals in the world, with particular reference to the developing countries. In February 2017, based in Xi'an Jiaotong University, IKCEST Silk Road Training Base was established, which aims to train more engineering and technological talents for Belt-Road countries.
