2018年6月9日至6月10日，由联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（IKCEST）、西安交通大学和宁夏医科大学联合主办，IKCEST丝路培训基地承办的第36期丝路工程科技发展专项培训在宁夏医科大学举行，共有来自宁夏医科大学的70余名在读本科生、研究生参加培训，他们分别来自孟加拉国、尼泊尔等“一带一路”沿线国家。

The 36th IKCEST Training Programme in Ningxia Medical University was held in Ningxia Medical University from June 9th to June 10th. It was co-hosted by the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (IKCEST) under the Auspices of UNESCO and Xi’an Jiaotong University, Ningxia Medical University, and organized by IKCEST Silk Road Training Base. A total of over 70 foreign undergraduate and graduate students from Ningxia Medical University registered for the workshop. They are from countries along the Silk Road including Bangladesh, Nepal, etc.

本次培训课程为期两天，由西安交大优秀教师团队进行四场讲座，包括中国历史文化知识、法律前沿知识、物联网大数据。除此之外，为了让留学生加深对中国文化的理解，还设置了剪纸体验课。

The training course lasted for two days and four lectures were given by Xi’an Jiaotong University’s excellent team of teachers, including Chinese historical and cultural knowledge, legal frontier knowledge, and Internet of Things big data. In addition, a paper-cutting experience course has been set up to allow international students to deepen their understanding of Chinese culture.

目前，丝路培训基地已举办了36期“丝路工程科技发展专项培训”，共培养了来自90余个国家的两千余名留学生以及在华外向型企业人员。此次培训，作为丝路培训基地一项重要工作，将在培养丝路人才，服务国家“一带一路”倡议方面发挥重要的作用，同时，也为西安交大倡导发起的丝路大学联盟、国际丝路学院等一系列工作探索发展道路。

Till now, there have been 36 IKCEST Training Programmes for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development, which have cultivated more than 2000 foreign students from more than 90 countries and export-oriented staff of Chinese Companies. As an important mission of the IKCEST Silk Road Training Base, this training programme plays an important role in cultivating talents and promoting “the Belt and Road Initiative”. In the meantime, it is also exploring the development direction for projects initiated by XJTU, such as University Alliance of the New Silk Road and Silk Road Academy.

联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（简称“国际知识中心”“IKCEST”）是联合国教科文组织下属二类中心，2014年6月在北京成立，依托中国工程院建设，旨在面向世界各国尤其是发展中国家的政策制定者、广大工程科技工作者提供咨询、科研、教育等知识服务。2017年2月，国际知识中心依托西安交通大学，设立“IKCEST丝路培训基地”，为“一带一路”沿线国家培养工程科技人才。

The International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (shortened as “IKCEST”) is a category II centre under the auspices of UNESCO. IKCEST was established on June 2, 2014. The Chinese Academy of Engineering is responsible for the operation and management of the IKCEST. IKCEST aims at providing knowledge-based services at a global scale in the form of consultancies, scientific research and education for policy-makers and engineering science and technology professionals in the world, with particular reference to the developing countries. In February 2017, based in Xi'an Jiaotong University, IKCEST Silk Road Training Base was established, which aims to train more engineering and technological talents for Belt-Road countries.
