2018年5月5日至5月6日，由联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（IKCEST）和西安交通大学联合主办，IKCEST丝路培训基地承办的第31期丝路工程科技发展专项培训在西安交通大学兴庆校区举行，共有来自西安交通大学、西北工业大学、长安大学、西安电子科技大学的30余名在读本科生、研究生参加培训，他们分别来自巴基斯坦、加纳、土耳其等“一带一路”沿线国家。

The 31st IKCEST Training Programme for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development themed on Frontier Development of Artificial Intelligence was held in Xingqing Campus of Xi’an Jiaotong University from May 5th to May 6th. It was co-hosted by the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (IKCEST) under the Auspices of UNESCO and Xi’an Jiaotong University, and organized by IKCEST Silk Road Training Base. A total of more than 30 foreign undergraduate and graduate students from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Northwest Polytechnical University, Chang’an University and Xidian University registered for the workshop. They are from countries along the Silk Road including Pakistan, Ghana, Turkey, etc. 

本期的培训为“人工智能”，内容设置上共分为人工智能（人工智能简介、物联网与智慧生活、脑机接口导论、 智能无人车的自主驾驶、）以及“一带一路”介绍（中国对外交流简史、一带一路的历史与未来）两个部分。另外还安排学员参观中软国际。

This workshop focused on the topic of Artificial Intelligence. The workshop included the Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, The Internet of Things and Smarter Life, Introduction to Brain Machine Interface, Autonomous Driving for Unmanned Ground Vehicle) and Introduction to “the Belt and Road” Initiative(China’s Opening: A Historical Review, The Past and Future of the Belt and Road). The trainees also went on a technical visit to Chinasoft Company. 

目前，丝路培训基地已举办了31期“丝路工程科技发展专项培训”。此次培训，作为丝路培训基地一项重要工作，将在培养丝路人才，服务国家“一带一路”倡议方面发挥重要的作用，同时，也为西安交大倡导发起的丝路大学联盟、国际丝路学院等一系列工作探索发展道路。

Till now, there have been 31 IKCEST Training Programmes for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development. As an important mission of the IKCEST Silk Road Training Base, this training programme plays an important role in cultivating talents and promoting “the Belt and Road Initiative”. In the meantime, it is also exploring the development direction for projects initiated by XJTU, such as University Alliance of the New Silk Road and Silk Road Academy.

联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（简称“国际知识中心”“IKCEST”）是联合国教科文组织下属二类中心，2014年6月在北京成立，依托中国工程院建设，旨在面向世界各国尤其是发展中国家的政策制定者、广大工程科技工作者提供咨询、科研、教育等知识服务。2017年2月，国际知识中心依托西安交通大学，设立“IKCEST丝路培训基地”，为“一带一路”沿线国家培养工程科技人才。

The International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (shortened as “IKCEST”) is a category II centre under the auspices of UNESCO. IKCEST was established on June 2, 2014. The Chinese Academy of Engineering is responsible for the operation and management of the IKCEST. IKCEST aims at providing knowledge-based services at a global scale in the form of consultancies, scientific research and education for policy-makers and engineering science and technology professionals in the world, with particular reference to the developing countries. In February 2017, based in Xi'an Jiaotong University, IKCEST Silk Road Training Base was established, which aims to train more engineering and technological talents for Belt-Road countries.
